Hans-Wolfgang Loidl (Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh): Challenges and Opportunities in Parallel Symbolic Computation
Abstract: In this short talk I'll reflect on several projects on parallelising symbolic algorithms, covering the specific nature of parallelism in symbolic code, the match of high-level parallel languages for such algorithms, and the opportunities emerging from new hardware for high-performance computing.
