RISC Forum

With the foundation and integration of the Austrian Grid Development Centre - initiated by Prof. Bruno Buchberger and being one of the three pillars of the Austrian Grid II project - in 2007 the Business Unit Advanced Computing Technologies (ACT) was established at RISC Software GmbH. Since then the competences in the field of distributed computing infrastructures and computer network security at RISC Software GmbH are publicly visible through the industrial projects, R&D activities and international cooperations of this business unit.20 The talk will describe currently ongoing projects and initiatives at the Business Unit ACT. Additionally an overview about recently started initiatives for European Research projects in the focus of currently open FP7 calls will be given, where RISC Software GmbH together with RISC Institute could participate as unique partner(s) in interesting projects with strong international partners.
