Le Petit Prince / The Little Prince
The multilingual Little Prince
The well-known tale from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The French honoured our little chap by putting him on a 50-Francs banknote. But this was before the Euro was introduced in 2002.
I appreciate any feedback from the world outside. In particular, I am interested in further translations of this quotation. Give also a reference to the source where you found the translation. I know in some languages exist more than one translation. Please, include:
- name of the language in English, e.g., German
- name of the language in this particular language, e.g. Deutsch
- title of the book in this language, e.g., Der Kleine Prinz
- publishing company (with address, at least the town), e.g., Verlag Volk und Welt, Berlin
- year of publication, e.g., 1989
- ISBN
- if the language is not very well known, the region or country where it is spoken
- Translator, e.g., Grete and Josef Leitgeb

I also think of having a list of stories how people encountered the Little Prince, what they like most and how this guy affected their lives. If you want to share such a small story with the rest of the world, just send me an e-mail with an HTML version in English.
And last but not least I want to thank all of the people who helped me to extend my initially short list. It is a pleasure for me to see that there are so many who like the Little Prince.
